Gabrielle Maurer (Montréal, Canada) is a photographer, curator, and creative thinker. Trained first as a violinist and later as a lawyer, she explores how attention shapes the way we remember, relate, and belong.

Her work has taken her across Canada, Latin America, and Europe, into wedding celebrations and everyday family life. She approaches these gatherings as living worlds, full of movement, tenderness, contradiction, and surprise. Her practice is instinctive and relational: she arrives first as a witness, guided by trust, curiosity, and time spent with people.

Through analog processes, bookmaking, and print, Gabrielle hopes to give these encounters a lasting physical form. Her photographs become small vessels of time, made to live in people’s homes and invite renewed conversation, memory, and connection.

Alongside photography, she works as a creative partner and mentor to artists and organizations making meaningful work. Across both practices, she brings attentive listening, thoughtful questions, and a sensitive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
