Gabrielle Maurer is a Montreal-based photographer and the artist behind petites.images. Trained as a violinist and later as a lawyer, she now devotes her practice to storytelling through photography, working primarily with analog media across a range of formats.

Her work is rooted in presence, care, and attention. It embodies the quiet act of witnessing, and explores the emotional textures that shape how moments are felt and remembered. Her approach is instinctive and relational, gathering access and inspiration as she moves through different places and seasons of life.

Over the last few years, Gabrielle has documented wedding celebrations across the globe while developing an intimate relationship with her craft. Along the way, she began to discover glimmers of universal tales that live in deep, embodied presence and empathy. Her photographs remain as traces of that work.

Today, in parallel to her wedding work, she accompanies people through different seasons of life and holds space for their truth. Her love letters are a way of remembering, a way of returning, a way of being.
